Your Source For Peruvian

Chiapara means "rainbow" in the Incan language of Peru where they know a lot about rainbows.  The Incan Rainbow pattern is often seen in hats, coats, bags and blankets - highly useful when woven from the miracle performance fiber we call wool.  Wool has several clear advantages in wet, wild and mountainous rainbow producing climates.  It is a natural, totally tubular fiber, that drives moisture away from your skin by two distinct mechanisms: (1) wicking, and (2) capillary action.  So long as there is heat at the core (body heat serves nicely) and the woolens are close to your skin you will stay warm and dry out even after a total immersion.  Just don't put a layer of cotton between yourself and the wool to interfere with the drying process.  Use high quality of wool such as that which comes from the cashmere goat or the alpaca.
